LON3 UPS Maintenance
Impact:  None
Maintenance Window: 00:01 to 05:59 GMT
We will be conducting our biannual Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) maintenance within our LON3 data centre. This maintenance is performed every six months to ensure that all UPS hardware will continue to operate reliably and optimally. During the maintenance block there will be a series of inspections performed to multiple UPS devices by ourselves and our vendors to ensure nothing is overlooked. The UPS system is designed to be taken offline while the other units support the load so our vendors and engineers can work safely. This is taking place during our regularly scheduled monthly maintenance to ensure that all appropriate technicians are available during the maintenance window. There is no planned impact associated with this maintenance.

LON3 Routing Protocol Implementation
Impact:  Medium
Maintenance Window: 00:00 to 00:59 GMT (18:00 to 18:59 CST) we will be enabling Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) in a portion of our network infrastructure to bring it in line with our current standards. Rapid spanning tree allows for faster convergence when changes in the topology occur i.e. (Failovers). During this time you may notice a brief period of network latency and in rare cases a loss of connectivity as this protocol change is made.

LON3 Switch Hardware Replacement
Impact:  Low
Maintenance Window: 01:00 to 01:59 GMT (19:00 to 19:59 CST) The purpose of this maintenance is to replace an existing distribution switch that provides connectivity between our LON3 data centre and a router at our co-location facility. Replacing the switch will provide a more stable network environment, and will allow us to bring the switch in line with our standard builds for switches. We will replace the switch during our regularly scheduled monthly maintenance to ensure all appropriate technicians are available. There is no downtime expected for this procedure, as all traffic will be shifted to another switch prior to this maintenance.
